We successfully completed the transportation of a non-standard cargo

Several key factors are essential to ensure a quality custom freight process: the professionalism of the partners and project coordination at the highest level, said our Business Development Manager Mindaugas Danyla.

This was our guiding principle when we took part in a project with our partners “Multitrade Spain SL” and “Baltic Transline” for the transport of exceptional cargo.

This time TLC team took care of the cargo for UAB “Šilalės mediena” – the transport of a wood pellet drum and its rings from Spain to Lithuania.

Cargo features:

• The drum weighs 47 tonnes, which is equivalent to the combined weight of 6 large and 1 small elephant.
• Adding the 4 adult male giraffes gives a total weight of 7.7 tonnes.
• The diameter of the trunnion rings was 4,4 m and the drum 4 m.

Preparing such complex cargoes for transport requires not only more time than for normal cargoes, but also a special focus from all partners. We were all involved in the whole logistics process of transporting the cargo together, discussing and solving even the smallest nuances of the project, coordinating the actions of all parties and successfully implementing the project. The unique device is already in the factory!
